Please join members of the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department (Sandy Spring VFD ) and their families for the 25th annual candlelight remembrance to honor the victims of September 11, 2001. The remembrance will be held at the intersection of Georgia Avenue (Rt. 97) and Olney-Laytonsville Road (Rt. 108) from 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Friends of the Fire Department, members of other Public Service Departments, and members of the community are invited to attend. All participants are reminded to please bring your own candle, candle holder, and lighter (or LED candle). ![]()
